OCTOBER

19 - Salmon Leap Walk, Philiphaugh Estate, Selkirk.  (30 mins drive)  Free event - a journey along the banks of the River Ettrick to spot the returning wild salmon

19 - Autumn Magic Walk - Dawyck Botanic Gardens (1 hrs drive).  Guided walk looking at autumn colour and fruit.

21 - Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, Hawick (15 mins)- a weeeknd of entertainment for all.

22 October - Tweed Valley Forest Festival (1 hrs drive) - indoor and outdoor events - Halloween, Heritage Trees, Wood Market, woodland Activities, Wild Food - and so much more.....  www.forest-festival.com

22 Scottish Conker Championships - Peebles (1 hrs drive).  Junior, Youth, Adult and Rogue categories - conkers provided - or bring your own

21-22 Traquair Halloween Experience - Traquair House, Innerleithen

23 The Big Draw - Peebles (1 hrs drive) Imagine, draw, make a tree house!  

23 Willow House of Horror - Harestanes (15 mins) Make something spooky for Halloween

26 Autumn Walk - Free event at Philiphaugh Estate, Selkirk,  Walk around the estate with our warden and admire the autumn colours.

27 - Denholm Folk Club - (10 Mins) Cross Keys Hotel

28-30 Traquair Halloween Experience - The history of Traquair will come to life with these spectacular historical ghost tours. No gimmicks here but an authentic retelling of the past!
