In addition to great walking, cycling and wildlife Billerwell is part of a wonderful community of local people to whom farming and the countryside is at the heart of their activites.  Central to all this is the village pub - the Horse & Hounds in Bonchester Bridge.  Here you will find a great welcome, good food and the local 'crack' - often accompanied by music - an unique genuine experience.
 

Events are a key feature of life in the Scottish Borders and 2008 has a very full timetable.  The Common Ridings taking place most weekends throughout the summer and there are numerous events at the Border Union Showground at Kelso, half an hour away.  Ideally placed for both participants and spectators we are happy to meet your needs to enjoy these to the full.
